I was just a little wild, loud mouth smart mouth punk kid that thought I knew everything, going through life. getting in trouble learning everything the hard way. I can't believe I'm going to spend the whole entire lifetime here. And no one will remember that I was here, I think that we all are obligated to make a mark, you might have a map issue, you might have a problem not knowing where you are not knowing where you're going, or not knowing how to get there.
Blake Templeton 00:28
Training isn't something you did. It's something you do actively.
00:33
If you stopped working today, how much money which you have coming in passively? If that answer is zero, that's how much money you have. This is how easy life is right? If you want to change what you're getting, you have to change what you're doing. There's so many people out there that don't understand the very simple fact that you are the answer.
Blake Templeton 00:58

And by the end of this episode, we'll find out why it's so important. And find out lots of other valuable nugget bombs from none other than Bradley. Brad's built an amazing company called lightspeed vt. It's an unbelievable virtual technology company that allows people to create, launch, and market your own interactive courses and trainings. And one thing about Brad, Brad, this is for you, is that he continually strives to enhance technology to better serve his clients. People call Brad the real Bradley because he keeps it real no matter what, Brad, welcome to the show. Thanks, man. Appreciate you. excited, I'm excited to reverse engineer and extract greatness out of you. And truth is, success leaves clues. So let's start there. To date, what is your largest accomplishment outside of business? You know, I would say being a father, tell me about that.
03:00
Well, I mean, it's, you know, it's, it's not an accomplishment to have a child, but it's an accomplishment to recognize your weaknesses, try to improve them and over time become the best father, you can be reach your potential as a father, which I'm continually striving to do, but as far as outside of business, I would say my biggest accomplishment is maturing into a good father.
Blake Templeton 03:24
What's one of your greatest revelations? As a father? Like, what what made you rise up? What brought that conviction?
03:33
Well, nothing really, you know, just you get older man, you just start realizing, you know, you make mistakes. And a lot of times people want to live in the past and allow those mistakes to define who they are. And, you know, fortunately, I realized that's not necessarily what has to happen. So, you know, I started understanding personal development, self development started, you know, looking at my weaknesses and my, my flaws and change them, so you don't continue that circle of life.
Blake Templeton 04:04
Yeah, they get to the very beginning of the transformation of a man or a woman that is actually, you know, find the weakest links inside of us and transforming those verses, you know, leaving the skeleton in the closet. So I really appreciate that. When was it in your life, Brad, that you began to get traction in what your purpose was in life?
04:30
You know, us some deep questions like, Well, I didn't know I needed to be prepared for this conversation. Hey,
Blake Templeton 04:37
this is this is therapy, bro.
04:40
Well, I mean, again, what point i don't i don't know because I don't live in the past. I don't sit there and focus on the past I would say probably 2006 you know, was when I started getting a little traction. Okay. My goal is life for my purpose is to bring the knowledge from the people who have it to the people who need it or want it. Because I believe, you know, people fail because they don't have the right information. And a lot of times people were like, well, they're not taking the right actions. Well, that's part of having the right information. You know, if we could get all of the information from the people who have it to the people who need it, and we're wanting, you know, the world, the whole world is going to be a better place. And through my story, I've accidentally created a technology that allows me to do that in a fashion better than any other system or technology on Earth. So I think it's the reason I was put here was to was to, you know, champion this system throughout the world, which I'm doing a pretty good job of, too, but I got a long way to go. So ultimately, everyone has knowledge, and everyone needs it. So until everyone has a password to my software, I'm not really done.
Blake Templeton 06:01
Okay, so let's start back at your childhood. I love your childhood. I love your story. I love it because you're giving everything on a silver platter. Yeah, matter of fact, if I remember correctly, your parents got divorced when you were two. Your mom was was left with all the kids she had to put before have you in a foster home? You mentioned that your dad didn't come to any sporting events and wasn't present to learn positive life lessons. Tell me another thing you said you said that you felt alone and unloved and, you know, didn't feel a affectionally shown to you. I mean, that's like, everyone. Everyone feels that somewhere, you know, in the in the in the on this channel, they they've they've been there. When you in the middle of this storm? Like let's start back then how did that affect you?
06:58
Well, first, you know, I believe it's all about perspective. So yeah, going through the quote unquote, storm, I didn't realize it was a storm. And it really wasn't a storm. I think I had a great childhood. You know, my dad did love me. He just didn't show it. I I'm pretty sure I knew that he did in retrospect, you know, I didn't get the hugs and the attaboys and the parental supervision that most you know, I call them beaver cleaver, families, good families, you know, are, you know, provide their children, I was more of a dysfunctional family. Yeah, you know, we were we were kind of to be seen and not heard type of atmosphere. So it taught me to survive. It taught me how to be independent. It taught me how to figure things out on my own. So and I'm quite happy. You know, it turned out the way it did. But you know, I don't think the norm would turn out this way. I think most people would end up either, you know, low income, blue collar jail, you know, addicted somehow. And you're just what we call, you know, just an average being but average existence. But, you know, when I was going through it, Blake, I didn't really realize it at the time, or I thought I was just a normal kid.
Blake Templeton 08:18
Yeah. Well, I love your direction in perspective, because your focus goes emotions flow. And so you're saying you are a fighter, and you actually transform the way you thought. So you're thinking, I've, I've actually got to be resourceful. I've got to actually, you know,
08:39
I didn't think about it. And if anyone says that they did, at my age going through that, I would find it hard to believe. You know, I wasn't thinking about it.
Blake Templeton 08:51
It's good stuff. Tell me about that.
08:53
Well, I mean, again, I just wasn't thinking about it. I didn't sit there and say, Hmm, well, since my father's not showing me how to go. I need to figure out on my own. So this makes it a great opportunity for me to develop as a person I didn't think like that. I was just a little wild, loud mouth smart mouth punk kid that thought I knew everything going through life. getting in trouble learning everything the hard way. I still learned the same lessons my dad should have taught me. I just had to learn the hard way. That's all.
Blake Templeton 09:24
Yeah. Okay, so how did you become so resourceful?
09:32
Why think it's just out of necessity, right? You need something. You figure out a way to get it that's being resourceful. I didn't figure out that I needed to be resourceful. I figured out that if I wanted something, I had to do it on my own. Which again, in retrospect, yeah, damn, I was resourceful. I didn't even realize it. At the time though. I just, you know, you need something. You figured it out. I was clever little son of a guy.
Blake Templeton 09:57
I was. I was at tai lopez Tai Lopez's house back in 2018, on his basketball court and he stopped and said, pain has a purpose. It revives, your favorite revives you from delusion. It alerts you from to danger, it pushes you back on the right path when you gotten lost, embrace it, adapt and adapt based upon the ashes. I think your story reveals, you know, that share more of the greatest pains that you went through. And you had to overcome. That Shaped you of who you are today.
10:47
I'm not gonna be a very good interview for you. Because I don't again, I don't focus on the past I don't I don't think I had big pains. I think it's been pretty easy my entire life. I've been lucky. I was lucky as they get. You know, everything always turns out smelling like roses for me. I've never really had any pain.
Blake Templeton 11:07
Different question? Well, let me ask you a different question. What conviction drives you to grow and be a better version of yourself?
11:18
I think ultimately, I want to leave a legacy of a value meaning, you know, I want people to remember me as changing the world. I don't want to go through this life and die and have nobody ever remember that I was here.
Blake Templeton 11:37
Yeah,
11:38
I need to hit the history books, I need to be, you know, encapsulated in the past. So So which is ironic, because I always tell people don't worry about the past, it's done. But that's what drives me. It's like, I can't believe I'm gonna spend a whole entire lifetime here. And no one will remember that I was here, I think that we all are obligated to make a mark, you know, to do something. So positive and impactful. That that there is a record of it. And if people look, you are you are remembered. And again, there's people that do mass shootings, and they're remembered, I'm not talking about, you know, I need to be remembered no matter what I want to make a positive impact. I want to, I want to set up a system and start a, a movement to where people realize it's not difficult to succeed Blake, just like it's not difficult to make money. Yeah, people are taught that it's hard to make money. There's people right now Blake that have money in the bank. It's just sitting there. And there's trying to figure out, how come they can't catch a break? How come they can't get wealthy, and they have money? But they won't use it a bit? Because what if it doesn't come back? Yeah, I lose it. And then I'm broke. Like they have a scarcity mindset, we can change that we can show people how easy it is to actually win. But nine times out of 10 it starts in the mind, it has nothing to do with, you know, knowing what investment and you know, having an inside tip on something, it has something to do with yourself. Like at the end of the day, you have to really get to know yourself and develop that relationship with yourself. And once you have that relationship, then your competence starts to grow. And once your competence starts to grow, you actually take more chances and then you once you take more chances, you start to win a little bit more. And then your confidence grows a little bit more. And then you take a few more chances and then pretty soon you're a chance taker, right? There's a lot of people out there, they won't take chances. Yeah, that's it guys, I can promise you, you have to take a chance or work for someone who did pick because because it's one of them's got to be true. So there's people that won't take chances. They don't they don't want to fail. They don't want to be laughed at. They don't want to risk anything. And what's crazy is people are like clearly wanting more out of life, but they're afraid to let go what they have to reach for something more. And that's the paradigm I want to get people to understand needs to be broken. Like if you want to, if I'm sitting here holding on to a soccer ball, and I want the basketball. I have to let go of the soccer ball to reach for the basketball. But people won't let go with their damn soccer ball. Like they just sit there and hold it and it's like well, why don't you move? Oh, well, you know what if I can't pay my rent Well, why don't you quit your job? Well, what if what if you know what if all this crap happens? Well, what if you don't change? What if you stay exactly the same the rest of your life isn't that scarier than possibly failing? And not only that, true. Not only that, dude. Failure is literally required to succeed. There's so many people avoiding failure that they never win. Dude, Michael Jordan has failed at basketball far more than I have, you know, Warren Buffett has failed as an investor far more than I have. I've never failed as an investor, well, then that means you didn't invest anything, right? So at the end of the day, it's like, failure is literally what causes greatness. You know, it could also, you know, cause other problems, but then they there's too many people afraid of other people's judgement that they don't take a chance. So
Blake Templeton 15:38
yeah, I really appreciate that I love where you're going with their relationship with yourself and how you've got to actually want to have confidence on your identity, know who you are, and then actually take a risk actually believe in yourself, dive deeper. And that what what tips would you give someone who actually is stuck and needs to actually advance?
16:04
Well, you know, if somebody's stuck, I put together these life gauges, I call them life gauges. Now, for me, I had to develop these because I would get stuck a lot, right? I mean, you're gonna get stuck a lot. And if you don't know how to get unstuck, well, then you remain stuck. So ultimately, I developed the life gauges. So think of a dashboard in a car and you're driving down the road, it starts to sputter and spew and not run, right? First thing you do is look at the dash, right? You look at the gauges. So these are life gauges, same thing. When life's not going right you look at these gauges, the first gauge that you want to look at is called the mind set gauge. Okay? Is it your mindset? Do you believe your mindset equals your behavior, right your belief system, so your belief system drives your actions. So mindset gauge will tell you if you need help in that area, which a lot of times that's what it is. Someone doesn't believe they deserve it. Someone doesn't believe they can. Someone doesn't believe whatever it is. So the mindset gauge, go look at that, if you believe that it's possible, and you're in your mindsets, right, regarding the the challenge or the or the growth that you're looking for. Then you move on to the next one. The next one is your map. Okay? Most people they don't understand that they haven't taken the time to look at and determine what success looks like, you know, you wouldn't walk into a room looking for someone if you had no idea what they look like, right? People need to take the time. So when we're having challenges, we need to look the mindset if that's good. Well, now go look at your map. Do you know where it is you want to go? And do you know how to get there just like a map. Like if I told you come to Vegas from any point in the continental United States, you flip on your GPS, and boom, off you go, right? Now, if you didn't map, what would you do? You might take nine years to get here. Well, guess what, guys, same thing happens in life, man, you might have a map issue, you might have a problem not knowing where you are not knowing where you're going, or not knowing how to get there. So you need to have the map gauge functioning. Then the next one are your motions, okay? Which by the way, lead to emotions. But the motion gauge tells you what actions and activities are you taking every day. Because literally your habits and your actions and your choices determine what happens. Right? So I always say the choices you make determine the road you'll take. So it's just choices. When you really realize the simplicity of success. You choose to be successful. You already know that habits that lead to success. They're no secret, you know, get up in the morning eat right workout read, you know, network meet people, Be kind, be ethical, do the right thing. Like there's no there's no secret. Okay, but people always want to, you know, literally toss those off to the side. Ultimately, because I think in my opinion, their subconscious mind is kicking in. But that's basically your emotions. Check the motion gauge are your habits driving you towards your goals. If you don't know your goals, that's the map. So if your mindsets, right, and your maps gauge is on par. Well now you better look at your motions, your habits, your activities, are you making the right daily activities and actions to move towards or away because a lot of times someone will look at their motions and they're like, well, no wonder I'm stuck. I'm not taking these actions every day.
Blake Templeton 19:47
Yeah.
19:48
And then the third, the fourth one after the motions is the measurement. That's the measurement gauge. What are you measuring? A lot of times we get stuck because we don't see any key performance and taters. We're not measuring the right things. So you have to look at the measurement map and kind of or the measurement gauge and try to figure out, you know, maybe I'm stuck because I'm not measuring the right thing. You know, what do I need to measure? You know, what increment of measurement? Do I need to make sure that there's progress? Because, again, people are stuck, because they, they they're, they're out of answers. They don't know what to do? Well, these gauges will help you number one, check your mindset gauge, do you believe that it's possible? If you're like, Yes, I do. Good, then go to your map. Do you know exactly where you're going? And how to get there? And if the answer is, well, I don't really know how to get there. You just found your problem, bro. That's why you're stuck. But if you're like, Yeah, I know, I know exactly where I'm going and exactly how to get there. Okay, well then move to your motions, are you taking the actions that move you towards or away? Because a lot of times people will look at their actions, they're like, well, that's kind of moving me away from that, well, that's your problem. If all three of those gauges are working good, then you go to the measurements, am I measuring the wrong things, am I not being alerted of my, you know, of my deficiencies, etc. So you just kind of look at that gauge. And then the last one is your money gauge. Your Money gauge is not what you look at, when you have very little money, or you want more money. If you don't have the money that you want. Then you look at your mindset. You look at your map, you look at your motions, your habits, and then you look at your measurements, and that will get you money. If money is your issue, you do not look at the money gauge. You look at the money gauge when you do make money, but you're not getting anywhere. Why? Why are you Why are you making good money? But yet you're four years later in the same position? Are you spending it all? are you blowing it all? are you investing it? So you look at the money gauge to start looking at? How are you using the money that you have? Because I know a lot of people that are quote unquote, successful financially, but they're broke. They're just broke at a higher level. They've got beautiful house, beautiful car, beautiful boats, but they have no money, they have no investments. And if their job ended, they're broke. The way I look at it is if you stopped working today, how much money would you have coming in passively? If that answer is zero? That's how much money you have. So the money gauge kind of gets people to focus on where is my money? And where is it going? Because if it's not going in the right buckets, you can spend 10 years and end up flat on your face. And that's not necessarily a good thing. So these life gauges, those are life gauges. Anytime you're stuck in life. Just remember these five gauges and just run yourself through them. Do I believe it? Right? Do I know where I'm going and how to get there? Right? Am I taking the daily actions necessary to move towards those Yes or no? It's either yes or no man. Am I measuring the right things? And then Am I taking my money and putting it in the right vehicle to generate future wealth and security? Those are your life gauges that's what that's the tip. I would give
Blake Templeton 23:21
five gauges I really like that. So we've got mindset. We've got map got emotions, we got measurement, and money. Yeah, but the fourth The third one is motion not emotion. Oh, emotion. That makes way more sense. Okay, motion, the pure action the motions
23:39
dude, like if I get up right now and go to the gym that I made a motion. There's a motion I was in motion and the motions are your habits or your activities. You know what motions are happening? You know, motions lead to emotion, which is also critical. But the gauge is just emotions gauge what motions what habits what actions are you taking? A lot of times you that's the problem when somebody says they want to get in shape when you go to the gym last month. Well yeah, how are you going to get in shape? You think you're just going to take a pill and as you're going to wake up buff? No, dude, your actions need to reflect your goals. So if I put on my map, I need to have a six pack. But I'm not getting one. Well, I know how to get one Google's filled with the how my mindset I totally want one. I totally believe I can do it. Well, then what's the problem? Well, now I'm looking at that gauge. What up? Okay, let's look at the motion gauge. Okay, I'm not working out. I'm not eating right. Oh, there's the problem. That's why I'm stuck.
Blake Templeton 24:41
As good as really good. I think those five things really bring you to one your purpose to traction and your purpose and then allow you to see the creativity and what you can actually do it to influence people Opposite influence your own financial background. But to be a transformer, you said in the very beginning that you want to, you want to make a big splash in the ocean, you want to you want to be known, you want your eulogy to have actually some Memorial stones like but you transform stuff, you made a massive impact. I think most people don't get to that point because they don't believe in themselves. They don't have confidence. I love your, your, you got teased around it kind of run a morning routine. I know you talk more about that share more about that. You know what, what prepares you for your day for success?
25:38
Well, mainly gratitude, right? I wake up realizing that waking up is a gift in and of itself. And I realized a while ago, that I would rather wake up and receive a million dollars. Right. And most people, they don't really look at it that way. Because we get to wake up and and we take it for granted. But yet, if I handed someone a million dollars cash, they'd get massively excited. They'd be enthusiastic, they jump around, they'd be in a positive mindset, you know, everything they'd be, they'd be excited. But we don't wake up that way. Sure, yeah, when waking up is worth more than that million dollars. So why do we get so excited over a million dollars cash, but we don't get excited to wake up. So I taught myself a while back to get excited when I wake up. So when I wake up, I realized the value of that gift. And that's how I start my day, then I'll go in and I'll focus on four areas. Number one, my health because without health, you're in trouble. Okay, then I focus on my relationships, because I believe the relationship is the new currency. Right? So I find five to 10 people that I want to text a message to, then I'll move on to my I call it five that drive which is what five things can I make sure I do today that drive revenue today, like I focus on money, and what you focus on grows, and I want my money to grow. So guess what you need to focus on it. So I focus every morning, five, that drive five to drive revenue. And then I will open up a book or turn on a podcast or a course of some kind, and I will spend 2030 minutes learning something new. People try to make this difficult. Listen, this is how easy life is right? If you want to change what you're getting, you have to change what you're doing. Right? Simple. Oh, now if you want to change what you're doing, you have to change what you believe. Because the reason you do what you do and choose what you choose and act like you act is because you believe what you believe. the crazy part is sometimes we don't even know what we believe. It's subconscious, which means below awareness, you're not even, in some cases aware what you believe. Why? Because we don't get to know ourselves. Like we have to get to know ourselves, we have to, we have to go on a journey to build the relationship with ourself. So you do become very, you know, aware of yourself and who you are and what you really believe. And, you know, self love is what you call it. But literally man, if you walked into all your friends and said, Dude, I love myself. A lot of your friends would be like, dude, that's stupid. And when you think about it, why would you be hanging around people that wouldn't want you to love yourself? Sure. So yeah. Anyway, what's crazy is there's so many things to learn. And everyone's out there trying to figure out what to learn to be successful, when in reality, it's almost what we have to unlearn because it will make us successful,
Blake Templeton 28:48
john?
28:50
Yeah, because there's people that that like, have learned that they're not worth it. They've learned that that you know, life is hard. They've learned that, you know, money doesn't grow on trees. And they need to unlearn that, okay, they need to, they need to change their belief system, they need to change their beliefs, man. Yeah, and the only way to change your belief, only way is to get new information. If you don't receive any new information, you're gonna believe what you believe the only way to change a belief is to get new information. Does that make sense to you?
Blake Templeton 29:28
Yeah, absolutely. Like if you believe something,
29:30
you've already received certain information, knowingly or unknowingly that you've agreed with and bam, that is your belief system. And there is no possibility of changing it. Intel, you received new information. Now it might be accidentally how you receive that information. Maybe you You didn't believe fire burned you. And then you receive new information when it burned. Right? That's new information. And now you change your belief. Holy crap. Fire does burn you. Okay, and now you believe fire burns you? Well until you put your hand in a fire and not get burnt. You'll never believe anything different. Does that make sense? Sure. Yeah,
Blake Templeton 30:10
I think what along with that, it's to actually make that transition. It's like putting a pain versus pleasure. You've got to actually have pain, you got to accept conviction of pain, that the stuff you're unlearning is actually causing pain in the neck. The thing that you're learning actually has pleasure to it. So you have a
30:29
termination? Yeah, yeah. But you know, a lot of that stuff like that you hear out there, like, you know, pain versus pleasure. I mean, that's all human behavior based, but it's a little bit fluffy, right? I mean, it's like, somebody's pain is subjective, dude. Like, what was your painful past? Like, dude, I haven't had a painful past my whole life's been incredible. But that's just subjective. Dude. I can tell people my whole life. like Brad didn't want you homeless on a beach for a minute. Yeah, well, dude, that's rock bottom. In your opinion, my opinion. That ain't rock bottom. First of all, dude, it's a beach for Pete's sake. Second of all, I can think of a lot worse than sleeping on a beach for a couple of weeks. Come on, man. So your pain in my opinion, is somewhat subjective. Now, obviously, I stabbed me in the face. And then that hurt? Well, yeah, it's Well, again, that's subjective. Some people not didn't hurt me at all. Matter of fact, look at UFC fighters. You know, they get in the cage all the time to get punched in the face. It doesn't hurt them. They're past that dude. Yeah, they're not worried about getting punched in the face. But yeah, a lot of people. They're scared shitless of being punched in the face.
Blake Templeton 31:39
Yeah. And I'm going to tell you more to what your point was earlier, which is, like, you know, they're holding the soccer ball. But the guy had the basketball, but they got to let go of the soccer ball. But they've got to have like pain attached that kind of like really put your hand on fire, but not to be paying bro. It's okay to be pain, man. That's
31:59
a perspective. That's, that's that's mindset. But they do have to get new information, to get new beliefs to make new actions and choices to get new results. So again, it's not rocket science people. If you want something different, you got to do something different. And if you do something different, you got to change your beliefs, because that's what controls what you do. So the only way to change your beliefs is to get new information, which is why every day before I do anything, I get up with the gratitude. Like I just received a million dollars that makes all the problems and issues opportunities. My mindset, my perspective shifts to frickin bat of unbelievable excitement and gratitude, which turns the whole vibration of the universe towards me. Now the world is mine. Okay, who cares if I have rent to pay? Who cares if my car is about to get repoed I woke up, man, I got to figure out how to pay rent, I got the opportunity to go earn some money and get my car out of hock whatever. But if I want to focus on it, oh, my life sucks. Your Life doesn't suck, dude, you you suck. Okay, you're that's a perspective, you've decided that it sucks. Because your perspective is totally agree to that. So So when someone comes to me, and I'm like, trying to just keep it simple, because like, again, all this fluffy, you know, advice that people get sometimes out there. It's just like, guys, that's not helping anybody that's just repeating some, you know, Socrates quote or something. But at the end of the day, let's keep it simple. So anyone can understand. If you want to change what you're getting changed what you're doing. If you want to change what you're doing, change what you believe. If you want to change what you believe, seek new information. Get it every single day. So I call it the million dollar morning, I wake up more grateful than a million unlimited gratitude, I go focus on my health, that means I get my blood flowing. That means I run in place. If I can't afford a gym membership, it doesn't matter elevate the heart rate. Okay, then I focus on relationships, who can I text or email or call and tell him I love him? I, I appreciate him. Whatever. I want to build relationships, the more hands you shake, the more money you make. It's just the fact you want to make money, shake more hands. How hard is it to shake hands? How much do you have to invest to shake hands? Like Stop making excuses and start to understand the facts? The facts are the more hands you shake, the more money you make? If the whole world knows who you are, I guarantee you financially you're a wealthy individual. Okay, so the more hands you shake, the more money you make, Quit making it complicated. Go out shake hands. Well, what am I going to say? See, there's the there's the mindset issue. You don't know what to say. That's not the problem. The problem is, is you're worried about what they might think of you. You're worried about their perception of you because you haven't developed your own perception of yourself. You value their opinion more than you value your own opinion. How does that make any sense? People have to wake up and understand that they are The most important person in their life, blink, you are the most important person in your life. I am the most important person in my life. Now again, somebody could be like, well, that's arrogance. No, that's a screwed up perspective. Okay? It's not arrogant. It's not arrogant. It's actually wonderful. I want my friends to believe in themselves. I want my friends to feel good about themselves. A friend is someone who supports you. You walk in and say, Man, I look great today. Do you watch people they'll start going down? What do you concede it? Those guys have a terrible perspective in life. Why would you not want me to think I look great. Do you want me to think I look ugly? impressed because nobody likes me. You are you want me to sit there at home and be humble and act like I'm not important? No, no, no, you don't do that. Man. You freaking understand that Guess what? God doesn't make mistakes. And he made you. Okay, so if he made you, you're not a mistake.
Blake Templeton 36:04
Yeah.
36:05
Okay. So leaving that you are and stop believing? Well, I was never taught I never had dad. You know, I didn't go to school. Yeah, but you know, the President wants to hold us back. Like Shut up. Stop making excuses, stop BS in yourself, man. If you want to see someone who can make you rich, here's how you do it. You want to meet the person that can make you rich, like go into a bathroom, shut the door, make sure it's empty. And then look around. And usually in most bathrooms, you will see the person. And when you see that person, get to really know that person. Love that person, kiss that person's button, dude, like, like, treat that person better than anyone in your life. Because that's the person that can make you filthy rich. And by the way, that's also the person that can make you incredibly, incredibly unhappy. You wanted some bombs, boom. Oh, listen, there's so many people out there that don't understand the very simple fact that you are the answer. You are the answer. I'm not the answer. I might, I might wake you up to realize that you are the answer. And then you'll give me credit. Oh, man, Brad. Oh, man, he's great. Dude, you're great. Yeah, once you start believing it, you'll start owning it. But the problem is, is you're surrounded by people that will stop you from believing that you're great. They will stop you from believing that it's possible. Don't allow that. Why? Well, because you're so worried about everybody else's opinion. You don't value your own. Dude, I don't value your opinion. overmind. Now, again, that doesn't mean I don't seek counsel, like from a lawyer or from someone who's got an experience in the thing that I'm looking for. That's counsel, but an opinion is not counsel and opinion. Everyone has one. Well, what why is mine any less than yours?
Blake Templeton 38:04
Yes, good point.
38:05
Why didn't graduate who gives a rat's ass? I didn't graduate. So what dude, I've got two PhDs for MBAs and about 14 associate degrees. People say, Oh, you went back to school? No, I hired him. Why is it you have to earn a degree if you can
Blake Templeton 38:21
hire one. So true. Yeah.
38:24
And by the way, nowadays, as we all know, those degrees aren't really amounting to anything. Okay? Knowing how to prospect knowing how to close sell and persuade, knowing how to become an influencer, knowing how to leverage social media, knowing how to get attention, knowing how to freakin sell, you know, those are the things that they're not teaching in school that will make someone successful. So you got to ask yourself, are they really trying to make people successful in schools? Are they trying to make workers and people that live inside these boxes? Okay, that's what I mean. Sometimes, there's nothing to learn. There's stuff to unlearn. Like unlearn the fact that you're not worth it. unlearn the fact that it's not possible. Yes, it is possible. And yes, you can do it. And yes, you do deserve it. And once you start realizing that you're on your way, then you gain momentum, and hopefully you don't get distracted by other people.
Blake Templeton 39:24
Good stuff, man. It's good stuff. So that's the conviction that I was asking for in the beginning. I love it. So with that said, Let me ask me switch gears inside your company. What is one of the largest revelations that you've had recently? of what you want to do with your company in the next 10 years?
39:50
You know, right now, I'm just trying to implement systems in my company that allow it to scale beyond its limitations. So you know, again, you use these big words and, you know make you tee it up towards like, you know, my revelation, you know, but ultimately, I realized I need to I need to develop some processes and systems if I want this thing to be a multi billion dollar worldwide organization. And so that's what I'm doing right now.
Blake Templeton 40:19
Okay, very good. You do team meetings, right? sales meetings? COACH your team? shirt. Yeah. What's if you could give for my guys who own businesses, if you give a tip on if they're expanding their team growing their team, what some tips you could give them for growing their teams? Well, first of all,
40:43
step one, be prepared to grow your team. Okay? There's so many companies out there that that hire people without the proper way to train and develop that individual. That's one of the things we do at lightspeed By the way, we help companies create world class training and development systems. So as they scale their teams, they do it much faster, better, and more efficiently. So the tip I would give someone that you if you're going to scale your team, or you want to be prepared to make sure that you have a system, which is ironic, because that's what I just said, I'm doing. You have to have a system to train and develop people support people. A lot of companies think they train but they don't they expose. See, training isn't something you did. It's something you do. It's an ongoing thing. And a lot of companies they check a box, okay? He's been trained, or she's been trained. watching the video doesn't make you training. Okay? You need good content, repetition, practice and accountability. If you don't have those four things, it's not training, its exposure. So are you exposing your people to good content? Or are you training your people? Yeah, if the tip to make sure that you're effectively training, make sure that you have an effective training system in place before you start to hire and scale people don't play catch up, that you're going to lose a lot of good people stallions. If you want to, if you're wanting to attract stallions, well guess what? Have you ever seen stallions running across the plane with turkeys in between their feet yet?
Blake Templeton 42:13
No.
42:15
That's because stallions run with stallions bro. And in order to attract stallions, when you got a bunch of turkeys working for you, it's very difficult. stallions come for compensation, culture and organization. So if you're not organized, you're not paying them right. And your culture sucks. Dude, you're not going to keep the stallions anyway. Now if you've got a whole room full of turkeys, and you finally attract the stallion, they won't stay very long. Because stallions don't run with turkeys dog. They run with stallions other stallions. So if you want to create stallions in your organization, you better be prepared to train, communicate and develop those individuals. Now how do you do that? It's simple. good content, repetition, practice and accountability. Now do you have a system in place that allows you to deliver good content, repetition, practice and accountability. And if you don't, that's my tip, get one. And by the way, you can do it manually. Or you can do it virtually, virtually you would reach out to my company lightspeed vt as in virtual training, because Dude, it's it's a bear to do it manually. And a lot of companies think Well, I'm not big enough for that yet. Yes, you are big enough for a couple 100 bucks a month, will we give you a multi million dollar technology, that you just plug into good content, or turn it on because there's good content in it. Because we have a lot of companies using our system with content, they've got sexual harassment, they got, you know, sales, they've got leadership, they've got problem solving, they've got customer service. So even if you don't have good content, you should reach out Why? Because we have customers that have great content. But if you're a company that has people that are really good within your organization, you have the good content already. We just need to virtualize it, put it in the system. So now you can deliver track and measure it with repetition, right and hold people accountable. So again, that was a long way of giving you a tip, but I want you to succeed. And if anyone asked me, Brad, what is the number one investment I could make with my small business is going to be training your people effectively?
Blake Templeton 44:28
Yeah, I appreciate that. You know, and the minds how your software allows the interactive courses and trainings. Most people money to understand really what it is. So, you know, he is a platform where you're then able to put your videos or put your training and what I love about what you're seeing where some people are saying that that gets us to too small of a company, the smaller company, the more you need lightspeed vt because You can't train the person twice. If they end up getting fired, you don't have time to do it again. So you've got to have an interactive course like that, that you can put on autoplay, and they can actually go somewhere versus taking your own time to get that. So say the website again.
45:19
lightspeed vt as in Victor Tango, virtual training.com.com.
Blake Templeton 45:23
Very good, um, in the desire of reverse engineering success, I'd like to just tease out a little bit more, where is what are you most excited for? For the end of 2021? What do you want to accomplish
45:46
on a wrap up, basically organizing the company into the and finalizing the structure to where my systems and processes are now fully in place by 2021.
Blake Templeton 46:00
Okay,
46:01
but then this system will be fully documented. all departments all positions, all roles, and we will be ready to scale this bitch. You scale by using people or technology, but you need your systems and your processes figured out in place. And then you need to train everybody to make sure everybody understands what's their role, where, you know, what do they do every day? How are they measured? You know, so everybody knows whether they're winning or losing automatically. You don't have to run around a baby set. I know that if I'm doing this, it's good. And if I'm doing this, it's bad. Okay, so how are they doing? And then you just measured by my stats, he was measured by, you know, those key performance indicators and now you can get out of your business instead of working in your business. There's so many people out there building a business and all they're doing is building a job. They're building a cage. I built the cage for the last 20 years. So by the end of 2021 you know, knocking the walls down, baby.
Blake Templeton 47:00
So good. I love the nuggets, love the bombs. So encouraging. What, what some final words you have to share to somebody who's expanding and growing and wanting to thrive?
47:13
I would say keep keep it up, if that's what they're doing. You know, listen, you want to change, okay? You have to get new beliefs, pick up a book and read I got a book coming up called the hard way. lessons I learned the hard way so you don't have to. You can pre order or you can wait for about a month and pick it up at Amazon or anywhere. But whether it's my book or someone else's, I urge you to read and learn and seek new information every day and get to know yourself know thyself, man, Know thyself
Blake Templeton 47:47
